Before she became the fiancée of Ikusa Redgrave, the older brother of Ken, she had lived a miserable life. Her family was convicted of treason against the Scarsong royal family, the ultimate enemy of the Redgraves, and the only away for her parents to remain alive was when she became the wife of Albrect Scarsong, the prince and son of the king.

One day, during one of her escapades, she had sneaked into the Redgrave mansion, where she fell in love with Ikusa. She became timid in front of him during their first meeting, but it turned out to be worthwhile. Unfortunately, Albrect already discovered her escape, and she was coerced to kill Ikusa.

And she did as told, even if it's against her conscience, stabbing him at the back. She ran away but was pursued by Ken and his wife, Jasmine Winterleaf. That was when she finally spilled the beans, and Ikusa became enraged and planned to stop the arranged wedding.

The wedding indeed turned out as an epic failure once Hinako rejected the "I do" from Albrect, and the prince was challenged by Ikusa to fight to the death. Albrect gained the upper hand at first, but once Ikusa's evil alter-ego took over, he had succumbed to defeat. But sadly, Hinako became afraid and insulted him, leaving him in utter meltdown. During his almost-death state, he discovered the happy persona of her that was extinguished since the day she became Albrect's betrothed. That was when Ikusa vowed to protect Hinako and make her the happiest girl alive, and he came back to life.

After the entire wedding fiasco, Hinako got engaged to Ikusa and her family was given financial support by his mother, Renalee.

Hinako's favorite pastime was playing her flute, but it was no ordinary flute. Based on the notes produced, the tunes were either capable of boosting the morale of her comrades, or cripple opponents.
