Why, onii-san, why? Why losing your trust in me?

As soon as you and Auntie left me, I packed up my things. Despite the pain that I had to endure as I strained to move my bruised, battered body, I kept on going.

I still bear the scars of rejection after my crush, Fio Fairchild, decided to live on without a consort. Worse, Issyl no longer treated me as a brother. He considered me nothing but a disgrace to his beliefs, that we fight for survival and show ferocity to those who dared to cross us. His blazing anger had gone through the roof, and he didn't care if I would end up being beaten to a pulp by his own hands.

You're right, Issyl; I'm nothing but a weakling, an obstacle that deserved to be crushed. In our world, as they said, only the strong shall survive and the weak shall fall.

I'm just not strong enough, and there were things that must be handled on my own. I needed to be away from them, to move on from the pain and forget the past I'm going to leave behind

I hope Nataliya-onee-chan will forgive me for my decision. As for onii-san, I hope that by the time I return, he'll accept me again. But sadly, I knew hopes were just fleeting, prone to shattering like fragile glass.

I wrote a farewell letter, tears falling down from my eyes and making blotches onto the paper as I went on. I just couldn't stop crying, but there was no consolation now, now that my loved ones no longer accepted me. Not even my dear brother, who cared for no one but himself and his pride. My dream of a happy family had just been torn asunder.

And so, with my soul so weary and void of joy, I left my home, the Shadowrunner adobe that became the closest place in my heart, here on Earth. I'm now nothing but an estranged child.
